2. Collection and storage of personal data; type and purpose of data processing
When you access our website, www.lkm-berlin.de, the browser you are using on your end device automatically sends information to our website servers. This information is stored temporarily in a log file. The following information will be collected without any action on your part, and will be stored until it is automatically deleted:
- IP address of the requesting computer
- Date and time of access
- Name and URL of the accessed file
- Website from which the website was accessed (referrer URL)
- Browser used and, possibly, the operating system on your computer as well as the name of your access provider
We process the aforementioned data for the following purposes:
- To ensure the establishment of a smooth connection to the website,
- To make it convenient to use our website,
- To evaluate system security and stability, and
- For other administrative purposes.
The legal basis for data processing is Article 6(1)(1)(f) of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest is derived from the purposes of data collection listed above. We will in no way use the collected data to draw any conclusions about you personally. Furthermore, our website also uses cookies.
3. Transfer of data
Your personal data will never be transferred to any third parties for any reasons other than the purposes specified below.
We will only transfer your personal data to third parties, if
- you have expressly provided your consent for us to do so pursuant to Article 6(1)(1)(a) of the GDPR,
- the transfer pursuant to Article 6(1)(1)(f) of the GDPR is required for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims and there is no reason to believe that you have an overriding interest worthy of protection for the non-disclosure of your personal data,
- we are legally obligated to transfer your data pursuant to Article 6(1)(1)(c) of the GDPR, and if this is legally permitted and required for the execution of a contractual relationship with you pursuant to Article 6(1)(1)(b) of the GDPR.
4. Rights of the data subject
You have the right
- to request information about the personal data processed by us pursuant to Article 15 of the GDPR. In particular, you can request information about the processing purposes; the category of the personal data; the categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be provided; the planned retention period; the existence of a right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, or objection; the existence of a right to lodge a complaint; the source of your data if it was not collected by us; as well as the existence of automated decision-making including profiling and any meaningful information about the details of said decision-making;
- to request the rectification of incorrect personal data or the completion of incomplete personal data stored by us without undue delay pursuant to Article 16 of the GDPR;
- to request the erasure of your personal data stored by us pursuant to Article 17 of the GDPR, as long as the processing of this personal data is not necessary in order to exercise the right of freedom of expression and information; to comply with a legal obligation; for reasons of public interest; or for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims;
- to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data pursuant to Article 18 of the GDPR in the event that you contest the accuracy of the data; the processing is unlawful, however you oppose the erasure of the personal data; we no longer need the data, however you require it for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims; or you have objected to the processing pursuant to Article 21 of the GDPR;
- to receive the personal data that you have provided us with in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format pursuant to Article 20 of the GDPR, or to request that this data be transmitted to another controller;

5. Right to object
If your personal data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interests pursuant to Article 6(1)(1)(f) of the GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data pursuant to Article 21 of the GDPR, provided that there are reasons to object to said processing on grounds relating to your particular situation, or provided that you object to the direct advertising. In the latter case, you have a general right of objection with which we are obligated to comply without specification of any grounds relating to your particular situation.

6. Data security
When you visit our website, we use a standard SSL (secure socket layer) process in connection with the strongest level of encryption that is supported by your browser. In general, this is 256-bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we will instead use 128-bit v3 technology. You can see whether or not the individual pages of our website are encrypted by checking your browser’s status bar; there you will see an image of a closed lock near your browser’s location field.
Apart from that, we use suitable technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against any incidental or intentional manipulation, partial or total loss, or destruction, as well as against unauthorised third-party access. Our security measures are continually improved as the technology evolves.
